State Member for Bass, Brian Paynter MP with support of the Leader of the Opposition, Matthew Guy MP, has been calling on the State Labor Government to remove the rail crossing at McGregor Road to alleviate the traffic congestion which can extend up to 1.2km at a time (each way).
It is no secret to the residents of Pakenham that McGregor Road suffers from severe traffic congestion. This problem is set to get much worse than it is already, with traffic volumes along McGregor Road predicted to grow to 32,000 vehicles per day by 2021.
The solution is simple.
Daniel Andrews and Labor must duplicate McGregor Road at the level crossing or remove the level crossing entirely by sending the railway line underneath the road.
Show your support for the removal of the railway and tell Daniel Andrews to fix McGregor Road crossing by signing the petition below.
